My Story


Bear came to us free and unloved. Left behind and replaced by a baby, the whole family up and moved to New castle and left him behind.    The first night he cried and scratched at the back door so I let him out thinking if he is ours to keep he will be here in the morning, and yes he was. Over the years we have moved 8 times. He was always the last to move in and let out the next day he always came back.
He was the neighbour hood cat never straying very far never worried about the native wild life and was always in for a pat or belly rub. The kids in the neighbour hood knew not to scare him as all adult neighbours would chase them away.  He was a very laid back sort of chap took no crap from our new dog he let him know very quickly who was boss!   The day he passed away was probably the saddest day our family has ever had.  A neighbours dog attacked him in our driveway  he was under the car but the dog got to him and broke his jaw. The vet told us the bad news along with a failing kidney.  He had a good life but his ending was not the one he deserved.
