My Story

Suzi became a part of our family when we met at the Birdwood veterinary clinic in 1995. Suzi had been abandoned by her previous owners, and left to fend for herself until she was handed in to the clinic. At the age of 5-6 years, she faced a grim future as it was felt it was unlikely that she would be adopted.For me it was love at first sight.! Suzi and I shared our lunch together and I just knew that she was something special and that I would have to take her home. Fortunately Mum and Dad did not take too much convincing!

From the day she joined our household, Suzi was adored. She was affectionate yet had some spunk about her. She was never afraid to challenge the other pets....even the dogs! Suzi was also a most loyal companion, always by my side. Even during periods where we lived apart Suzi would always be happy to see me when I returned, and would snuggle up to me on my bed, or sit on my lap, as though I had never been away.

Sadly Suzi became frailer over the last 12 months, until she finally fell asleep for the final time on October 5th 2009,in her 20th year.  She spent a wonderful 15 years with our family and will never be forgotten. We have many memories of our beautiful companion.

Type of Affection: Loved a chin/cheek rub, loved sleeping on beds and on couch with her owner
